Foster Diary
Wow…my boys, just where do I start? These two are a pair. Opie (the fluffy one) and Andy (the slick coated one). They have been here for three weeks and these guys really know what they want! They want to eat, they want to play, and they want a forever home with all the kisses and hugs they can give and receive!
They are coming along with their crate training and they spend a lot of time outside so they have only had a very few accidents in the house. They do well together in the crate and cry very little because they are pretty much played out by the time they go in and its nap time at that point! They rely on each other and are bonded well so it will take some adjustment when you take one away from the other (unless of course you want both of them)! Opie absolutely LOVES the resident piggy and I think he may be part pig because he likes to play in the pigs mud hole in the backyard, as you can see by his picture! He is kind of awkward and throws his weight around so he will need a very firm handler to help him mind his p’s and q’s! They are both probably gonna be big boys but I wouldn’t be surprised if Opie ended up being close to 100 lbs when full grown. Andy is a mover and a shaker, he has somewhere to go and he’s in a hurry to get there. He likes to roughhouse but he is also the scaredy cat out of the two of them. He has been butted by the goats and stepped on by the pig so now he has learned not to just run up to new animals. He approaches them cautiously and hesitantly at first. We call him the scrapper because he has a scar over his right eye (no doubt scrapping with Opie) and he bit Opies ear and it bled and bled. There is no lack of amusement when these two are around so be prepared to laugh and have a great time if you choose and are chosen to be the lucky one to have one or both of them!!!
